Ken (not his real name) was surrendered by his biological mother and abandoned by his biological father. He suffered from pulmonary aeration, and linear fracture on right parietal. He had Traumatic brain injury, mild multiple old fractures due to some accidentally fell on the grown prior to his admission in the shelter. He also suffered from on Community Pneumonia and Pseudopterygium OU (on both eyes). He was 5 months old when he was admitted at Tahanan ng Pagmamahal.
Ken grows up without the presence of his biological parents, but he was well loved and cared by the staff. His basic needs were provided with the help of other people with same goal for children like him.
Ken is happy, sweet, smart, and smiling child. Unfortunately, he can’t see well due to eye problem. Ken’s face brightens and showed gratitude and more happiness when he was given pair of eyeglasses. The eyes are the window of the soul.
He gained self-confidence in running and playing well without hesitation and less worries from the staff since he can sees well. He also enjoyed watching, colouring and listening to stories.
Giving hope to a child like Ken can make a difference in this world.
