Each winter in Bangladesh, extreme cold claims lives among the poorest communities who cannot afford warm clothing. This project will provide blankets, shawls, and winter clothes to 1,000 vulnerable people, including children, elderly individuals, widows, and daily wage earners. With your support, Green Fund Initiative will deliver life-saving warmth, dignity, and protection to those most at risk this winter.
In rural and marginalized communities across Bangladesh, winter is not just uncomfortable-it is life-threatening. Thousands of poor families live in fragile homes made of tin, bamboo, or plastic sheets, offering little protection from cold waves that bring temperatures below 10C. Most families cannot afford warm clothing, blankets, or sweaters. Children are highly vulnerable to cold-related illnesses like pneumonia, while elderly people endure sleepless nights in freezing conditions.
The Green Fund Initiative will provide immediate, life-saving support by distributing warm clothes, shawls, and blankets to 1,000 of the most vulnerable people in Bangladesh. Working closely with local volunteers, youth groups, and community leaders, we will identify households most at risk-especially elderly individuals, children, widows, street dwellers, and daily laborers. Aid will be distributed directly within communities to reach those most in need.
While this project addresses an urgent seasonal need, its impact extends beyond winter relief. By preventing cold-related illnesses, the project reduces medical costs and health risks for vulnerable families. It also preserves dignity and well-being for people who are often overlooked. By involving local youth and volunteers, the project promotes compassion and community participation.
