By Fiona Karmali | Supporter Relations Manager at NGB
It all started in 2008 when Cedrick decided to live on the streets due to his tough and unhappy family conditions.
In June 2019, he came in contact with NGB. He participated in the activities organized, appreciated the moral talk sessions which emphasized positive values, how to help one another and how to behave well in society. He enjoyed the prayer sessions that took place every morning. He also played football, watched cartoons and movies.
He learnt how to invest and save money and acknowledged the importance of discovering your purpose in life and working towards achieving your dreams. Cedrick is now 17 years old and wishes to have his own restaurant and support his mother financially.
NGB would like to work on a reintegration project to help kids like Cedrick.
NGB would also like to gift an accomodation to the street-connected children who can’t be reintegrated into their families especially those under 15 years of age and in most vulnerable situations.
We thank each one of you who have regularly supported us, through Street Action, for many years. And those who are newer supporters and have provided substantial sums to make this possible.
