Dear Donors,
Tonight, thousands of children across rural Nigeria will once again try to study in darkness. For children like Aisha and Ngozi, the lack of electricity means homework ends when the sun goes down. Many families still rely on candles and kerosene lamps that expose children to smoke, burns, and dangerous fire outbreaks.
Through this GlobalGiving project, we are working to provide safe, durable solar lanterns to children living in off-grid communities across Nigeria. These clean energy study lamps will give children reliable light to read, complete homework, and continue learning safely at night.
Why This Matters
Access to electricity should never determine a child’s future. Yet millions of children in underserved and low-income communities remain trapped in energy poverty. Without light, students lose valuable learning hours, perform poorly in school, and face a higher risk of dropping out.

Your Donation Creates Immediate Impact
Every contribution helps place a solar-powered study light into the hands of a child who wants to learn but lacks electricity.
We are currently seeking our first supporters and monthly donors to help launch distributions in vulnerable rural communities where children are most affected by energy poverty and educational inequality.
Be the reason a child studies tonight instead of sitting in darkness.
Please donate, share this project, and help us bring clean energy, safe learning, and hope to children across Nigeria, one solar light at a time.
