Eid al-Fitr should be joyful for everyone, including orphans and underprivileged children worldwide, especially in Indonesia. The Eid clothes shopping program for orphans organized by BAZNAS in various regions aims to bring happiness to orphans and disadvantaged children so they can celebrate Eid al-Fitr with joy and feel the care and attention from the community and BAZNAS.
BAZNAS invites orphans to shop directly at shopping centers or malls, accompanied by foster parents, guardians, or social institution administrators. Each orphan usually receives a voucher or cash ranging from IDR 250,000 to IDR 500,000 per child to purchase Eid necessities such as clothes, sarongs, sandals, and other items.
Alhamdulillah, this program has been implemented by various BAZNAS branches, such as BAZNAS Ngawi Regency, BAZNAS West Lombok, BAZNAS Gresik, BAZNAS Sumenep, and BAZNAS South Kalimantan. It is supported by collaboration with relevant agencies/institutions and other social communities.
The expected impact of this program is that the children feel happy and appreciated because they can choose their own Eid clothes as they wish. It is hoped that this program will continue and reach even more orphans in the future and inspire other institutions to carry out similar actions. Let’s make the people around us happy.
