1. Introduction

The "Give Me Hope to Live Happily" project was launched to raise awareness about gender-based violence (GBV) in the North Kivu communities. The project aims to promote the rights of women and girls, encourage gender equality, and support victims of GBV. Through workshops and local collaborations, the project seeks to reduce the acceptance of GBV and improve protective measures, ultimately creating a safe environment where individuals can live with dignity, free from fear of violence.

2. Project Objectives
The specific objectives of the project are as follows:
- Raise awareness in the communities about gender-based violence (GBV) and the rights of women and girls.
- Promote gender equality within the communities.
- Provide support to victims of GBV.
- Reduce the social acceptance of GBV.
- Create a safe environment for individuals, particularly women and girls, in the North Kivu communities.

3. Activity Progress
The main activities of the project began with the organization of awareness workshops and the establishment of local collaborations with community leaders, women's associations, and local authorities. These initiatives aim to disseminate messages about human rights, gender equality, and the consequences of gender-based violence.

So far, several workshops have been held, and a significant number of people, especially women and youth, have been trained on their rights and ways to protect themselves from violence.

4. Project Funding
Funding is a crucial element for the success of this project. To date, a total of $145 has been raised. However, it is important to note that this amount represents less than 1% of the total amount needed to fully implement the project. The estimated funding required to carry out all planned activities is much higher, and the current amount remains insufficient to cover the essential needs of the project.

5. Funding Strategy and Collaboration with GlobalGiving
To achieve our funding goal, we have partnered with GlobalGiving, a crowdfunding platform that will help us raise additional funds. Through this collaboration, we hope to reach our financial target by 2025. GlobalGiving will play a vital role in raising funds through online campaigns, helping us close the gap between the funds already raised and the total amount needed to implement the project.

6. Expected Impact and Outcomes
The project aims to have a significant impact on reducing gender-based violence in North Kivu communities. Through workshops and training sessions, we expect:
- Increased awareness of GBV.
- A shift in community attitudes toward women's and girls' rights.
- Improved access to support services for victims.
- A reduction in the social acceptance of GBV.

We hope that, thanks to collective efforts and the generosity of donors, the project will reach its full potential and create a safer environment for women and girls in North Kivu.

7. Conclusion
Although current resources are limited, the involvement of **GlobalGiving** and other financial partners is crucial to ensuring the full realization of the "Give Me Hope to Live Happily" project. We remain optimistic about reaching our financial goal by 2025 and are confident that continued support from donors and local communities will enable us to advance this noble cause.
