Give leadership training to 50 trafficked girls

We are excited to announce that we are just a few dollars shy of reaching our funding goal for this ambitious program. We can't thank you enough! 

When we started this program, our vision was to educate and inspire 50 formerly trafficked girls to become the next generation of anti-trafficking leaders in the Greater Mekong Region (Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, and southern China). These countries share a contiguous border with Thailand and their youth are at the highest risk of human trafficking in the world. Governments provide minimal support for prevention projects. We are now, and always will be 100% focused on teaching these girls prevention methods addressing root causes, sustainability and independence.

Thanks to you, these young women will receive training in legal rights, fundraising, computer skills, and other practical capabilities. They will work with established anti-trafficking organizations or even start their own. Your investment in these 50 girls will undoubtedly create positive social change in the lives of innumerable youth whose lives will be touched by these leaders, and would otherwise surely succumb to their circumstances with no hope of a real future. The incidents of human trafficking will be reduced as a result of these dynamic, well trained young leaders.

As the number of trained youth leaders increase, their influence will grow and create an anti-trafficking network in remote areas. This will develop a stable communication infrastructure where they can collaborate with each other in the region, share mutual goals, and support each other in pursuing and accomplishing them, thereby expanding a youth movement. Addressing human trafficking in such a direct way will create systemic change in the current anti-trafficking movement as never seen before.
