It is better to give than to receive.  December seems to be the best time to implement this saying specially in the Philippines. But no matter how generous people can be during Christmas season still there are members of the community who are often neglected so ce they remain invisible to the eyes of the community.

This is why the Las Pinas Persons with disability Federation. Inc. decided to make those members who are bedridden due to their disabilities and cannot last a day without using diapers as sole beneficiaries of our Give hope from Home project. They definitely need this extra support and help augment financial costs.

Meet Girlie a female 35 year old with Cerebral Palsy. She cannot sit on a wheelchair since she has never bad any therapy at all therefore making it difficult for her to sit even with assistance. She is being taken care of by her mother who is a Solo. Parent and already a Senior Citizen, and because of this her mother finds it difficult to look for extra income jobs for their needs. Her brother who works as a construction worker helps o His mother is the one taking. Care of  but unfortunately his work is just seasonal thus they find it hard to. Make ends meet. Thus Girlie need for diapers is not a priority for them. This is why they are very much grateful for the diapers given by the federation through the Give Hope from Home Project through the funding support from gloval giving but in the daily needs of the family. This is why giving them the diapers for girlie is such a big help to augment girlie needs.

Meet Mark a 16 year old male with post encephalitis Parkinson and depression.  Mark is currently on NGT since he cannot swallow food. He cannot sit on his own and slowly losing memory. He use to go to school  before until he experienced trauma when he was in 10th grade, his teacher scolded him and called him an irresponsible kid. Since then he did not want to go to school and developed depression. It was also during this time that his immune system became weak and his depression worsened..He is taken care of by his mother and his father, who is also a person with physical disability, works as a construction worker. Unfortunately his father's job is only seasonal thus they can hardly make ends meet. Thus they are very much grateful for the diapers given by the federation through the GIVR JOPE FROM HOME Project funded by the GlobalGiving foundation.

Meet Jessie a 10 year old boy with cerebral palsy. He is non verbal and cannot sit on his own. He is cared by her mother and his father is a person without a hand but still works as a construction worker. Therefore diapers are not a priority thus the diapers given by the federation will be of great help to Jessie.

Meet Lopito a 68 year old make with stroke. He had stroke for 26 years and he is also with diabetes. Currently he has a whole in his neck since he cannot breathe properly. He is taken care of by his wife 24/7. They are supported by his son who is a construction worker which is also seasonal. Lopito also needs underpass since he is not removed from his bed.

Meet Shanel 15 yrs old female with Cerebral Palsy. Her father is also a person with disability and also Solo Parent. He works as a truck driver. Currently Shanel only eats soup with rice especially now that her gums are swollen because of infected tooth. They are asking assistance on where she can have her tooth extracted. Because of her condition they need a dentist who understands the reasonable accommodation she needs during treatment.
