Give Hope from Home for Persons with Disabilities

Typhoon Enteng or tropical cyclone YAGI, has affected some areas in the Philippines, in our area in Las Pinas City there were 4 barangays that had waist deep flooded areas namely barangay talon tres. talon uno. zapote and pamplona tres.  due to continues heavy rains. the Las Pinas Persons with Disability Federation Inc. (LPPWDFI) thought of using the GIVE HOPE FROM HOME Project to buy goods and rice packs for the families with persons with disabilities affected by typhoon Enteng.

52 families from barangays talon tres, talon uno. pamplona tres. pamplona dos. talon uno. talon cuatro. pulanglupa dos were given rice packs. canned goods. soaps. shampoos. toothpaste. laundry soaps. coffee. milk sugar and biscuits to help augment their basic needs. Priority in identifying the benefiaciaries were given to those in the evacuation centers.

LPPWDFI thanks the officers from different associations like tlo uno. pulanglupa uno. pulanglupa dos. talon tres and pamplona dos to help repack the goods to be distrivuted to the families. the goods were given to the officers for distribution that same day. September 6. 2024 or saturday. September 7. 2024.

The federation officers would also like to thank the support of the local community. barangay talon dos for the transportation assistance in buying the goods.

Some of the families are still in the evacuation centers as of this writing. while other went back to their houses nd started arranging furnitures in their houses that were flooded.
