Creativity for Peace summer camps are an incredible, transformational time. At the end of the three weeks we ask campers to reflect on their experiences.
Johanna wrote, “I leave camp with a sense that I am a kind of bridge between the two sides. I feel that I have taken on a mission to spread the things I learned here. I wish everyone could do this.”
And Sara, “One thing that affected me is that we have no solutions instead of peace. We are the victims of the conflict and I hope that peace will spread around the world.”
Two months on, the girls gathered in Nahsholim for a post-camp gathering. Dialogue focused on the challenges faced back home and how to retain belief in the possibility of peace. Senior Young Leader Sivan Kedem led a workshop on social activism. To keep in touch the girls decided to create their own Facebook group and they are already planning another meeting for early next year.
It is your donations that help make this happen. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Although we have almost met our Global Giving goal, we are accepting donations for this project throughout 2013. New donations will go towards the post-camp gatherings. Please consider making an end of year gift to these amazing young peacemakers.
SALAM, SHALOM, PEACE, PAZ.
