Chikumbuso would like to thank you for your generous donation to help us provide "Comfort Kits" to women prisoners in Zambia. Since November 28, we have sewn 100 plastic-lined pouches with five reusable/washable sanitary pads.
We spent International Women's Day, March 8, brainstorming and reaching out to other local NGOs for help in getting the pads distributed through the prisons. This will help us insure each woman in the Lusaka prison will receive her own "Comfort Kit" containing our sanitary napkin pouch with sanitary pads, soap, a bucket, and a pair of underwear.
