We are excited to announce that we launched our My Photo My Voice project in Morelia, Mexico, earlier this month!
Implemented in collaboration with Catako (Mexico), and local institutions, My Photo My Voice addresses the urgent need for psychosocial and creative support for children in institutional care in Michoacan. Through photography, these young participants will not only develop artistic skills but also share their perspectives, amplify their voices, and connect with their communities in meaningful ways.
To kick off our launch on February 13th, we started with our first photo workshop with the kids.
This is just the beginning. As this is a year-long project, your continued support is vital to ensuring we can provide the best possible support to participants, such as incorporating more women’s rights workshops and photography materials.
We cannot thank you enough for your support so far, and we hope you will continue to share the word about this project. In addition to this update, you’ll find photos illustrating the photovoice methodology and offering a deeper insight into the workshops and the participants’ experiences.
