You are amazing! We can't thank you enough for your generosity and compassion in helping a mom in India find a way to support her family. A sewing machine may seem like a simple gift, but it has been life-changing in so many ways.
Thanks to you, there are 7 tailoring schools with 84 women currently enrolled. You are having such an incredible impact on all of these women and families!
One of the moms who recently received a sewing machine is Durgabhavani. She has 3 daughters and they often struggled without their most basic needs. Durgabhavani used to work in the fields with her husband. They were both day laborers, but the work was so hard it started to affect her health.
When Durgabhavani joined our tailoring school she was so happy. She learned how to sew many different types of clothing for children and women. When she graduated she received her very own sewing machine.
"Now I can stitch clothing and I'm able to earn money to support my family along with my husband," says Durgabhavani.
Your gift means so much to a poor family in India. You are empowering a mom to support her children and earn a sustainable income.
