Alejandro was diagnosed with cleft lip and split palate when he was born. Today he is one year old and thanks to donors like you, he recently had his first lip and palate surgery.
His parents’ happiness when they learned that Alejandro was going to benefit from the “Give a New Smile to 20 Children in Uraba” initiative was overwhelming. His mom struggled every day to breastfeed Alejandro so he could get the proper nutrients and strength he needed to undergo surgery. It was not easy for her and she always hoped for the day her son would eat properly.
Alejandro lives one hour away from the clinic. He and his family must cross a river by canoe to get home. Nonetheless, Alejandro’s mom went through all these hurdles with the hope this operation would change the course of her son’s life. His mom thanks each and every one of you that made this surgery possible!
“From the bottom of my heart I thank you for brightening my son’s future”
