Hello! My name is Marina and I have an 8 year old grandson named Matías. We live in the Apartadó region in Antioquia - Colombia. When he was born, doctors diagnosed a malformation in the mouth called cleft lip and cleft palate. This made talking and eating difficult for him. Before surgery, it was difficult for others to understand when trying to express themselves.
This always bothered him a lot and he got angry a lot. After the procedure, all this changed. I can see that my grandson is now much happier in life! He is now learning to pronounce the alphabet and is making good progress. He is currently in fifth grade and is learning to multiply and divide.
Your favorite class at school is Natural Science. Every day, when he gets home from school, he is excited to tell me about animals, plants and the environment. He is very happy today. They also like to gather in the park and play games that mimic their favorite animals.
I love my grandson a lot and I know he will grow up and be an extraordinary person who will help others. We thank those who make their donations very much, because many families have changed their life history. Thank you very much.
