Haripura (Name changed) is a 100 per cent tribal population village. Haripura is located in jungle, and is almost 19 km away from the nearest town and 56 km from the nearest city. Transportation and other facilities are not much available. They have to walk almost 3 km from their village to the main road, and again 2 km walk to pick up some road transportation. After completing 8th standard in their village they asked their parents for higher secondary school admission, but their parents denied for it. As it is quite far from their village, and daily 10 km walk from jungle and lonely fields. The local school teacher helped their parents to make them understand.
One year (During their 9th standard) they up and down for schooling by walk and local transportation. In the 10th class, their class teacher approached GVT, and they benefited from bicycles. Till 12th standard they used bicycles and passed with good grades. All the three girls after that taken admission in nursing course and completed it with good grades with the same bicycles. They have started job to their nearby town with good scale. And supporting their families.
In their class they were total 11 girls, the rest 8 girls have did not study after 8th class, and all of them got married in a very young age. While these three have able to stand on their feet, they are not dependent on others and now able to make their second family also educate.
Though there are many success are observing, but there are hundreds of other stories are not even getting noticed by anyone. Let us jointly make their stories brighter with a small support. Let us make all girls independent.
