Odisha and Assam , two states in eastern India were flooded by heavy rains in the first week of August. Over 12 million people in over 2000 villages and nine districts were affected. More than 14,000 people were evacuated to shelters from low-lying regions. We responded promptly and were able to deploy 125 weatherHYDEs to the displaced with the help of our local distribution partner, Goonj.
As a part of Singapore Bicentennial, billionBricks shared its story at, “FOR LOVE SHINES: An Ode to 200 years of Philanthropy in Singapore” on 21 August 2019. The exhibition featured milestones and stories of selfless individuals who have helped forged Singapore’s philanthropic culture.
