weatherHYDE has always been special for children. Many homeless parents have come back with stories about how wH has enabled their kids to go to school since their books and uniforms don’t get wet anymore. At the same time, many children from across the world have fundraised to give a ‘gift of home’.
Kavya, a grade 5 student at Singapore American School, Singapore recently gifted a weatherHYDE to a homeless family in India. She went to all her friends in the neighborhood with a wH poster she made herself on a weekend and collected USD 300. This winter, one more family’s life will be saved.
Inspired by children like Kavya, we reached out to many schools in Singapore to:
Students from Canadian International School and Singapore American School, came forward to form bB service clubs in their respective schools. The American School high-schoolers have decided to help Tibetan refugees with weatherHYDEs.
If your child or their school wishes to join us, write to Sulakshana@billionbricks.org. We are here to help.
2019 weatherHYDE update

We know many of you have been waiting to know who have you helped with your gifts. We have an improved weatherHYDE version for this year based on the feedback we received. The new weatherHYDEs are taller and now come standard with aluminum frames. They are also packed more efficiently through compression just like the IKEA pillows and mattresses.
Finally, they are being shipped and will reach India by the third week of June and we will immediately start gifting them.
weatherHYDE will be exhibited at this years Barcelona Design Week from Jun 12-20. Do check us out if you are there or visiting. After the exhibition, it will be gifted to a homeless family in the City. http://servicedesigndays.com/summit-barcelona-design-week-2019/

Warm regards,
Prasoon and the bB team
