It sounds almost like a fairy tale.
It sounds almost too good to be true.
The truth is that the story of Mai is one of the most awesome and heart rendering stories you may ever hear. More importantly, it might be one of the most inspring true-life stories that children in Vietnam, struggling to learn English, will hear, this summer. at the Aid for Kids Summer Camp Program in July 2015. But we need your help, and your financial support to tell the story....
In brief.... Mai began adulthood as a Cyklo driver. He rose from the very lowest ranks of Vietnamese society (with the help of a Norwegian couple who encouraged their Cyklo driver to learn English and gave him a small solar powered camera as a gift.)
When the Norwegian couple checked in with Mai a little time later, they were amazed that he was able to accomplish so much with his little, inexpensive camera. They were so impressed with his photography skills that they told all of their friends about the remarkable work Mai was doing - and soon his business grew.
His work has been exhibited in Norway, France and all across the world. This past summer, an Aid for Kids volunteer interviewed Mail Loc who spoke with him on the importance of learning English. He now owns a Photo Gallery shop in Nha Trang.
