Cam Ranh Summer Camp 2015

By Tim Younes | Volunteer

Together We Can Change The World
Together We Can Change The World

This past summer (with the financial support from people like you) we offered 21 students in Cam Ranh Vietnam the opportunity to participate in a one week intensive English class.  When it was time to say farewell some of the kids were literally crying. The kids pleaded with us to return and do another training session in 2015.

But we don’t want to do that! Rather, we want to offer at least 4 one week training sessions, and have classes not just on learning English but also on developing other skills that these students can develop into rewarding useful careers.

Will you – today – please help make a difference in the lives of these kids? Help them secure a better job. There are many ways. Are you skilled in any of the following areas?

  • Baking (American or Asian foods)
  • Creating Videos
  • Photography
  • Some Other Professional Talent
  • And Would You Be Willing To Help Teach Those Skills To Teenagers?

Or can you help fund this program?

On Giving Tuesday – many non-profits are sending appeals asking their supporters to fund various worthwhile projects. At Aid for Kids, with our extremely low overhead, slick fundraising has never ever been our focus. We simply present our needs to our supporters and you have so often responded so kindly, just as you did recently in the case of the young boy with Goiter.

As supporters of Aid for Kids, you know that we are extremely cost conscious and that we value every dollar – and spread it as far as we can. And in places like Vietnam, we can make your donation go a long, long way. We have an opportunity, now, today, to design a summer 2015 Program that could be life changing for these children. We’re seeking is $10,000 to fund this program. Please help.

Today, right now, you can change the life of a child.

  • You can make the difference
  • You can help a young child each his dream.
  • You can make a teenage child cry – tears of joy….

VOLUNTEER TEACHERS ARE NEEDED. Formal teaching experience is NOT required – nor is the ability to speak Vietnamese. Our volunteer this past summer had no such experience. If you have an interest in finding out more about serving as a teacher in the summer of 2015, please contact Tim Younes at vietnam@aidforkids.org  or Phuong ThuyLan Tran (Project Manager) at TranThuyLanPhuong@gmail.com

Please don’t make us tell these kids that we won’t be able to return!
