Every child deserves more than a roof over their head. They deserve a place where they feel safe, loved, and supported. A place where someone listens to their worries, celebrates their achievements, and reminds them that they matter.
This is what we strive to provide every day through our SOS Family Homes in Morocco.
A More Focused Goal, the Same Commitment
When we first launched this campaign, our ambition was to raise $150,000 to support 10 SOS Family Homes, benefiting 80 children.
Since then, we have reviewed our funding priorities and the resources available to support these homes.
As some of the needs can be covered through other funding sources, we have decided to adjust our fundraising target to $50,000, focusing this campaign on supporting 3 SOS Family Homes and approximately 24 children.
This adjustment does not change our commitment to children. It simply allows us to focus our fundraising efforts on a more specific and achievable goal while continuing to mobilize other resources.
A Small Beginning, but a Meaningful One
Since launching this GlobalGiving campaign, we have received our first two donations, totaling $110.
We know there is still a long way to go, but we are grateful to those who have already chosen to support our mission.
Every contribution represents someone who believes that children deserve care, protection, and a place where they truly belong.
The Needs Continue, Every Day
Caring for a child is not a one-time effort. It is a commitment that continues every single day.
From nutritious meals and healthcare to education, emotional support, and the little things that make a house feel like home, every aspect of daily life matters.
Through this campaign, we hope to contribute to the ongoing care of approximately 24 children living in 3 SOS Family Homes.
While SOS Children's Villages Morocco continues to mobilize its own resources and other sources of support, donations through GlobalGiving will help us sustain this care and respond to children's everyday needs.
