Our learning safe space, set-up in 2019 helps out-of-school children in Kware community who have never had access to any form of formal education, gain literacy, numeracy and social skills by providing them with lessons every weekend for two (2) years following a carefully designed curriculum to aid accelerated learning, and help in their possible transition into formal schools.
At the end of August, our safe space 2023 cohort had their graduation ceremony, and we were thrilled to celebrate the learning journey of thirty (30) amazing learners. From Masouda to the Bako family children, every child's learning growth filled our hearts with pride. During the ceremony our beneficiaries shared their favourite part of learning at the safe space, played games, received notebooks and writing materials to further support their learning and the highlight of the event was the award of scholarships to cover fees for one school year and back-to-school kits to three (3) outstanding learners.
Every cohort we have children enrol in our safe space with little or no writing, reading or social skills but are filled with curiosity and the desire to learn, and every time a child completes their two-year learning program we are reminded of how much impact a small learning space can make in a child's life. With our continued dedication to building a future where every child has access to learning and your support for our work through your donations we know we can do more.
Thank you!
