Give 200 Children in Rural Nigeria an Education!

Thirty (30) children beneficiaries were enrolled in April 2023 to learn Literacy, Numeracy, and Social Skills during the weekends before they have to go for their Quranic lessons, by a qualified and trained resource staff from the community. By the end of November 2023, their learning growth is a source of inspiration.

We administered an endline assessment to measure our children's beneficiaries' progress in comparison with the baseline assessment they took at the beginning of the Safe Space’s learning cycle in April. Results showed a 17% increase in the mean literacy scores and a 15% increase in the mean numeracy scores of our beneficiaries, showing a positive impact of the program on learning outcomes.

We held a graduation ceremony to celebrate all the hard work the children put in to learn throughout the year and encourage them to continue learning. All our beneficiaries got back-to-school kits, which will facilitate their enrolment into formal schools. As a special prize, the top three (3) children were provided with scholarships to enable them to enroll into formal schools.
