Thank you to all of our donors to the Louise Martin 20th Anniversary Campaign! With your help we were able to surpass our goal of $20,000 to increase the number of scholarships that the CDC Foundation is able to provide each year for girls in Kenya to attend a national school. Through your generous support we raised $24,250 from 111 donors in just 1 month! With the incredible matching funds from Walt and Mabel Dowdle of $20,000, as well as the $2,000 we won by having the second highest fundraising total in the Accelerator program on GlobalGiving, that brings our overall total to $46,250 toward the Louise Martin, DVM, MS EIS '85 Endowed Memorial Scholarship!
We are not only able to honor Louise Martin’s legacy on the 20th anniversary of her death in the U.S. Embassy bombing in Kenya, but also to increase the number of ongoing scholarships from six to ten. Thank you again for changing the lives of these disadvantaged girls in Kenya by giving them the gift of education! #GirlsFuture
