Girls with Opportunities

In 2024, our goal is to reach 680 female students from peri-urban and rural areas in Lambayeque, Cajamarca, and Amazonas. By intervening in the educational ecosystem, we aim to create a positive impact not only on the students but also on their families, teachers, and school administrators, fostering an environment that supports their holistic development.

As of August, we have engaged 1,634 students in these regions, 803 of whom are female, exceeding our initial goal. The Socio-Emotional Skills (HSE) and Comprehensive Sexual Education (ESI) units have been successfully completed, showing promising results: the average grade in HSE increased from 9.65 to 16.08, and in ESI from 9.20 to 15.86 (on a scale of 0 to 20), reflecting the positive impact of our interventions.

Currently, the Financial Education with a STEAM approach (EF-STEAM) unit is underway, alongside the Life Project unit, which will be implemented soon. Additionally, we are pleased to report that two graduates from the Girls with Opportunities (NCO) program have been awarded scholarships by the Universidad Tecnológica del Perú (UTP) to pursue degrees in science and technology. They are now settled on the Chiclayo campus and have begun their academic journey, marking a significant milestone in their professional development.

In Lima, we have registered 610 students from 12 educational institutions and continue to monitor their progress. These achievements motivate us to further strengthen the implementation of our programs and provide continuous follow-up to assess and maximize our impact.
