It has been 3 months since our first crowdfunding campaign to finance a digital platform to provide mentoring and professional support to young Mexican students, who will be the first women in their family to attend and complete university. We are excited to share our progress with you.
Through GlobalGiving we raised $9,001 to finance the digital platform for scaling our mentoring program. We are so thankful for our tech savvy collaborator, Daniela, for helping us find the perfect solution that will allow us to both automatically match mentors with mentees and also automate our communications. Without this functionality, it would be impossible to coordinate our activities with such a large cohort of mentors!
The total cost of our solution is $12,160 USD. We are very fortunate to be able to finance this cost through your generous donations. Daniela has helped us to find a solution that not only does everything we need, but it is also much less expensive than we had anticipated. Although we were not able to raise enough funds to cover the cost of the entire project through GlobalGiving, your donations helped us to reach the point where we could finance the remainder of the project through our own operating budget.
Thank you so much for your donation. Thanks to you, we will be ready to meet our 1160 program participants on March 7th. Thank you for believing in us as we learn and grow. In 2019, when we first started our mentoring program with 60 mentors and mentees, we could hardly imagine how many women we would be reaching today. Thank you for your part in making this happen, for playing a role in helping young women to succeed.
