BONUS DAY: YOUR DONATIONS MATCHED BY 50%.
To all of our partners supporting girls’ education in Burkina Faso: Mark your calendars for this Wednesday June 13 – GlobalGiving’s Partner Rewards Bonus Day for 2012! On this day, because we are ranked as a Superstar organization with GlobalGiving, all donations made to the Lambs Support Village Girls’ Education Project in Burkina Faso will be matched at 50% by GlobalGiving.
Why is this important? NEEED (our partner organization in Burkina Faso who runs this project) has been hugely successful in demonstrating to village parents the importance of girls’ education and their capacity to send their daughters to school using this “Lambs” support strategy. There are over 260 villages in the region with primary schools. NEEED has intervened in over 160 of these villages and has requests from the remaining 100+ villages to help them enroll their young daughters in primary school. They need our help only to enroll their daughters in school the first year. The girls, their parents and their lambs will support the remaining 12 years of schooling. Wednesday June 13 is the day to show our support! By donating Wednesday June 13, you automatically increase your donation by 50%. The more you donate, the more GlobalGiving will match!
Thank you for your continuing support to “our” girls. They are amazingly hard working kids who deserve “a leg up”! Let’s do it for them. And let’s demonstrate to the parents in the remaining villages in the region how they can send their daughters to school!
