The international Youth Day Summit Featured Just Like My Child Foundation's Work with Adolescent Girls.
It is crucial that girls are at the heart of responses to build forward better after #COVID19. On #YouthDay2021, JLMC participated in an exciting virtual event featuring girls from across East Africa as they shared their vision for a post-COVID world.
We are so proud to have been represented by Girl Power Project® graduate Catherine at the International Youth Day Virtual Event co-hosted by the esteemed Coalition for Adolescent Girls on August 12th. Catherine, a 17-year-old High School Junior, is a powerful example of the transformative impact of Girl Power Project® as she has taken the knowledge she’s learned to pass on to other adolescent girls.

Just Like My Child Foundation Featured in Population Council's Publication.
We are very pleased to announce the publication of Intentional Design: Reaching the Most Excluded Girls in the Poorest Communities - A Guide for Practiononers and Advocates.
This sourcebook, published by our long time mentors, Population Council, featuring Just Like My Child Foundation’s work identifying the most vulnerable girls, offers step-wise technical guidance for deciding where and with whom to work and for defining segment-specific program strategies and content. Its tools have been applied in sites in 44 countries.
JLMC is featured in Chapter 9, which focuses on the practitioner experience: Intentional Design in action. It includes twenty practitioner reports that set the scene in each context by describing key challenges and problems faced, present how tools were used, and explain the eventual resolutions of the Intentional Design process. Take a look and let us know what you think in the comments.
We are incredibly grateful for all of the support to bring the Girl Power Project® around the world. We’re all in this together, on a mission to Transform the World, One Girl at a Time!
