International Day of the Girl Child as declared by the United Nations aims to highlight and address the needs and challenges girls face, while promoting girls' empowerment and the fulfillment of their human rights. This year's theme is "With Her: A Skilled GirlForce." It was created in an effort to bring together partners and stakeholders to advocate for, and draw attention and investments to, the most pressing needs and opportunities for girls to attain skills for employability.
JLMC's Girl Power Project clubs offer four sessions of financial literacy to help girls prepare for a bright future. In these sessions girls learn how to save money, create budgets, become entrepreneurial, build confidence around finances and more.
Statistics show that empowered girls dramatically improve the wellbeing of their families, their communities, and their countries—multiplying the impact on society. Now is the time to even the gaps in opportunities for girls around the world, and we hope you will continue to support JLMC's efforts by contributing to the Girl Power Project!
