The new term is about to start at the St John Bosco Technical Training School Ngetta with the total number of students in the school is 131. Out of these, only half manages to pay their fees in full by the end of the term in various installments
Thanks to your donations on this platfrom as well as direct donations we have received on Afrilanthropy bank account we were able to support various 36 students this year from various sections and develop a future carreer in carpentry, mechanics and construction
The Don Bosco school also used some of the cash to buy food item (beans and maize) for the new school term as at this time the rain is just coming back (planting season for the first rain) whereby prices of food tends to be high until harvest sometime in July.
We are also concerned about the rising food prices, which is likely to push even more people in Uganda to poverty and the trade off for families to invest in future of their youuth and meeting the very basic necessity is likely to push more people out of school
To this effect we would appreciate your help in promoting our fundraising to your nework, taking advantage of the matching GlobalGiving is offering this week matching new donations at 50% until April 8 midnight ET
Thanks a lot
Emanuele
