For five years, Jorgito went without clubfoot treatment and lived with this disability, although his home was only five blocks from the public hospital in Leon, Nicaragua. For five years he struggled, walking on the sides of his feet and unable to join in raucous games with his two older brothers.
All this changed a little over a year ago, when miraclefeet opened a clinic in the hospital right outside Jorgito's back door. News of the clinic spread quickly and Jorgito's parents were some of the first to arrive to seek treatment. Jorgito's feet were severely calloused and twisted.
After only 8 casts and 2 months, Jorgito is now walking properly for the first time ever! He is able to attend school and play with his friends. Treatment means Jorgito now has the chance to walk, run and even play soccer!
In the past year, miraclefeet has supported the treatment of over 270 children like Jorgito in Nicaragua with clubfoot because of the support of donors like you.Thank you!
