We are very happy to share the beautiful progress and heartfelt work that has taken place as a result of the generous donations from our donors from January to March 2016.
Highlights
From the 17th of February to the 20th of March 2016, 29 Open Satsangs took place for free in Rishikesh, India. These Satsangs touched the lives of 2,065 participants. 24 of these Satsangs were in English, 3 were translated into Russian and 2 were held at the International Yoga Festival in Rishikesh. During this period, over 300 people volunteered their time and love to make this event possible. These Satsangs were also broadcast live and free with a high of 1,989 viewers during this India season.
Live translation project Rishikesh:
The Rishikesh satsang season 2016 saw the birth of a beautiful new project for the live (simultaneous) translation of Guruji’s satsangs. During the 5 weeks in Rishikesh, satsangs were translated into 15 languages in total (Russian, Polish, Chinese, Hindi, Punjabi, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, German, Hungarian, Croatian, Romanian, Greek, Vietnamese), with a maximum of 8 languages in parallel. The translations were available to participants in the satsang hall via wifi and a smartphone based system, and to online viewers via audio broadcast.
About 60 Hindi listeners were provided with earphones to listen in the hall as many Hindi speakers of the local community did not own Smartphones. During the last week, the Hindi translation was also broadcast in the street outside the ashram for the local population to enjoy, as many of them had to work during satsang hours.
The audio recordings have been edited and are still being uploaded as dubbed videos on a new youtube channel called “Mooji translations” where they are organised in playlists for each language. A beautiful and touching video of Sri Mooji visiting the translation room has also been uploaded onto YouTube.
Below are some testimonials from some of our on-line viewers:

Sponsorships & Grants
Mooji Foundation was able to grant 5 sponsorships that allowed individuals with financial difficulties to fly to Rishikesh in order to attend Satsang with Sri Mooji. Included in these scholarships was: flight, accommodation, visas and food expenses for 3 individuals, a flight for 1 individual to fly to Rishikesh, and 1 grant for food and living expenses whilst in Rishikesh during the month of March for 1 individual.
In addition to the 5 scholarships granted for Rishikesh, 2 scholarships were granted in January 2016 to 2 individuals to come to Monte Sahaja in Portugal in the form of flights.
Monte Sahaja
In the first quarter of 2016, maintenance was undertaken during the month of March particularly in the Kailash and Tukaram Row houses which are important accommodation spaces. Due to the harsh weather conditions in Monte Sahaja over the winter, these accommodation spaces saw roofing and the building itself, deteriorate. A new metal roof was installed to ensure a dry atmosphere would remain inside these living spaces. As well as this, a new zinc roof substituted the old tile roof of the Sangha Cave, creating better conditions for this space so that it may be continued to be used as a dormitory during silent retreats.
Contemplative spaces:
The construction of the Christ Chapel continued during this quarter. This structure sees the first ever dome in Monte Sahaja. New techniques have been learned with the possibility to apply them to future buildings.
At the entrance of Monte Sahaja is Mooji Mala (formerly known as the Triangle Wall) a new circular garden was created as a first point of welcome to all that come to this beautiful land. The carpenters completed the circular wooden roof over the perimeter of the space waterproofing it with new materials to improve the structure's resistance to adverse weather conditions. The landcare team continued to plant many large palm trees and plants in this area to beautify the space.
Leaf 2 - a new contemplative space (also used during silent retreats as a dining area,) has received a new brick floor, creating a more welcoming space.
The main house on Monte Sahaja,, known as “The Ruins”, is the main communal area, (the kitchen, dining and living room spaces). During this period, it underwent maintenance of its roof. Many old tiles were replaced with new ones and some rotten posts were replaced. Several waterproofing improvements were also made.
New gas heaters were installed in three of the office containers. These new heaters are capable to warm up the working spaces without increasing the humidity inside. They also expel all the exhaust gases out of the containers thus providing a healthy atmosphere for the people working inside.
Landcare:
A total of 544 large and small trees were planted in the first quarter of 2016 along with 158 bushes. 53 steps were built in order to make the land more accessible. Other landcare activities comprised of: gravel on pathways, making small swales, making platforms for sitting, and fertilising with organic fertiliser.
Below is a testimonial from one of the Team at Monte Sahaja
It is such a blessing to have a warm space to work during the winter and I feel so grateful to be able to have a heater to keep my fingers warm as I type! Thank you to all our beautiful donors.

Sri Mooji Around the World – Sharing Satsang Online
In the first quarter, a lot of beautiful work went into sharing Mooji’s satsangs through various online media.
Beloved donors, thank you so much for all of your loving support. Without you, the above achievements would not have been possible.
