General Satsang Project

The following report is an update of what has been done out with the generous donations from our donors in the first quarter of 2015.

Sunday Satsangs & Tea Satsangs:

There was one Sunday Satsang on January 4th where there were somewhat less than 200 participants. Furthermore, there were 2,387 viewers online watching the Sunday Satsang and 1,782 online viewers watching the Tea Satsang.

Rishikesh, India:

30 Open Satsangs were organised and offered in collaboration with Buddleia Media Pvt. Ltd and Padam Sangha between February 19th and March 23rd, in Rishikesh, India (from Wednesday to Sunday, broadcast live and free of charge) where the lowest number of participants was 712 and the highest number of participants was 1,475. The lowest number of broadcast viewers was 675 and the highest number of broadcast viewers was 1,258.

In addition, there were 3 Satsangs with simultaneous Russian translation and 2 Satsangs organised in collaboration with the International Yoga Festival, on the 3rd and 6th of March.

Skype Satsangs:

There were 2 Skype Satsangs in the first quarter of 2015, one with participants from Sweden and the other with participants from the USA.

Social Media:

By the end of the first quarter of 2015, our Facebook page received a total of 200,952 likes with the majority of fans coming from the United States, India and the United Kingdom.

Podcasts & Youtube :

9 new podcasts were uploaded online in this period and there were 62,925 subscribers to the Youtube channel ‘Moojiji’ at the end of March. In the period between January and March there were 1,057,383 views of the 597 videos uploaded to date onto this YouTube channel. This statistical data shows that in this period the number of online views on the YouTube Channel ‘Moojiji’ was the highest than ever! (The average number of online views per year from 2007 (when the channel started) until the end of 2014 was 2 million views).

Mooji TV:

Mooji TV was launched on February 17th. Mooji TV is a large and growing searchable collection of the audio and video recordings of Satsang with Mooji. One can join all the live Satsang broadcasts such as Sunday Satsang and the Online Retreats, where one can sit in real time with Mooji at home. Mooji TV also offers a new video subscription channel of spontaneous talks called Sahaja Express. In the first quarter, this new platform saw 746 new payable subscribers. In this period, Mooji Foundation also uploaded 826 videos and 153 audio podcasts to the database.

Subtitling:

• The srt files (files with language captions and subtitles) for English, Spanish, Portuguese, Catalonian, Dutch, Greek, German, Turkish and Italian are now also uploaded on the YouTube channel ‘Moojiji’. From there, they are automatically uploaded onto Mooji TV. This means that viewers can enjoy subtitles on YouTube AND Mooji TV.
• Our videos on Amara (the internet platform for our subtitling activities) are being consolidated, as there were some videos with multiple copies, which can lead to duplicates and confusion. The video linked to ‘Moojiji’ channel is the one that remains active with all subtitles, and the others are deleted.

Ashram:

• New outdoor contemplation spaces were lovingly created this quarter.
• Ten wooden “park benches” were made to be placed in the contemplative spaces around the land.
• 281 baby trees, 22 trees and 4 large trees were planted in the first quarter of 2015.
