The Gender Rights Awareness for 200 People in Yobe project is currently at the fundraising and implementation preparation stage. The project has a total financial target of $3,450, while $1 has been received from two donors, leaving a balance of $3,449 to be raised. The limited funds currently available mean that the planned community workshops and awareness activities cannot yet be implemented at the intended scale.
The project is designed to reach 200 women, men, youth, and community leaders through practical workshops and community dialogues focused on gender rights, equality, legal protections, shared responsibilities, and respectful gender relations. Once adequate funding is secured, the funds will support community mobilization, training materials, facilitation, logistics, and delivery of the awareness sessions. Despite the current funding gap, the project remains important for addressing discrimination, strengthening knowledge of rights, supporting girls and women, and promoting safer and more inclusive communities in Yobe State. Continued donor support is therefore essential to move the project from fundraising into full implementation.
