Whenever we demonstrate the water filter system to those in need we instantly see a sense of hope and amazement. But when we bring a soccer ball to the equation – well, it's a "gamechanger. Eyes light up. Smiles come out. Then, competition kicks in. There is something magical about a simple soccer ball. People can’t help it – they want to play and show off some skills – not only the kids but the adults too.
It’s great to see the Haitian people having a bit of fun. So creative. So much energy. So much warmth. In a world of super star stadiums and elite training arenas, here in Haiti, an overgrown grassy field becomes the only pitch that really matters. The moment the ball hits the ground – it’s on!
Check out a few photos that we think capture the moment and capture the great work you are doing to help accomplish.
Together, we are doing some fun things and helping a lot of people but we still have work to do. Your generous donations continue to come in and really make all the difference. We can’t do it without you.
Thanks to each and every one of you for your support!
