We did not have success raising funds for this important project. We did what we could and learned a lot.
The most important lesson is that you have to meet people where they are. Many of the mommies in our program are not in the place yet to work on higher level skills, they still need help with the fundamentals.
We recognised the need and begin teaching English, basic knitting and vegetable production.
We hope to build these skills in 2025 and take these lovely ladies on a wonderful journey to build their confidence, their skills and their income and so help sustain their families.
