Learning Something New Together

By Jessica Chilver | Manager

There has been plenty of learning happening at Hand to Hand over the past few months, both in the classroom and through practical activities.

The chicken project we shared in our last report is still going. It remains part of our work to give students opportunities to learn through doing, alongside their classroom lessons.

Our adult school students recently joined students from the Bang Lamung District Learning Encouragement Center for a day of community service. It was lovely to see everyone getting involved, working together and contributing to the community. There was plenty of learning and lots of fun too!

English lessons have continued, and our adult students have also been learning about rhythm, tempo, notes and dynamics in music class. We are grateful to the teachers who share their time and make these lessons possible.

In computer class, students have been practising typing with a Thai keyboard. They have also been trying something new in our AI classes - coming up with business ideas and creating their own websites. This gives them a chance to use technology to make something of their own and explore how it might be useful in the future.

These activities are all part of our aim to make education and skills training accessible to people who have had fewer opportunities to learn. We want our students to have the time, encouragement and support to practise, ask questions and discover what interests them.

Thank you for being part of this work. Your donations help us provide lessons, materials and practical learning opportunities. We are grateful to everyone who gives, volunteers and teaches, helping our students keep learning and trying new things.
