June and July were hectic months as we strengthened our programs through in-house training and development of our veterinarians and staff members. Your commitment to the cause enabled us to rescue, treat, and find virtual sponsors for a few of our permanent residents with special needs and we are utterly grateful.
These two months also saw more than 400 spay/neuter surgeries, 50 animals rescued and rehabilitated, 30 pets adopted to loving homes and happy families, and over 2000 people educated through our outreach programs. Several vaccination drives against Rabies were conducted where more than 800 animals got life-saving vaccine. We were also blessed with many volunteers who spent time with the rescue pets, socializing them, and supporting their treatment and care.
Out of the many rescues that we undertook, some really stand apart and little Vincy's is one of them. Our hearts broke as she was rescued and brought to the table for our vets to examine her. With her limb severely damaged as a vehicle ran over, this small pup was in deep pain and utterly terrified. We quickly started to work on her and she underwent an emergency amputation. However, she proved to be a true fighter, and showed us every sign that she wants to thrive. We are delighted to report that she is rebounding with zest as a tri-pawd, and we hope she soon finds a home to call her own!
As most of you know, World Rabies Day is commemorated on the 28th of September. Every year, throughout the month of September, we create awareness around the deadly disease, as well as vaccinate as many companion animals as possible against Rabies. Our target this time is to vaccinate 1000 pets. It takes just USD 1 to sponsor a single dose of vaccine. Please come forward to support us.
Thank you!
