Fund University Tuition for 200 Students at UNN,

Dear Partners,

Every lecture hall at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka carries stories of determination. Behind every notebook and school bag is a student trying to build a future despite difficult circumstances. Some students arrive early for lectures after walking long distances. Some borrow textbooks because buying their own is not possible. Some study late into the night, holding tightly to the belief that education can change their family’s story.

But no matter how committed a student may be, unpaid tuition can close the door. When students cannot pay required fees, their academic journey becomes uncertain. They may miss registration deadlines, lose access to examinations, or begin thinking of withdrawal. For vulnerable students, this pressure can become overwhelming.

Through this project, Empower Future Initiative is working to fund tuition support for 200 students at UNN. Our goal is to help students remain in lecture halls, stay connected to their departments, and continue progressing toward graduation. This is not simply about paying fees. It is about protecting access to higher education for young people who have already worked hard to earn their place.

University education strengthens employability, leadership, innovation, and community development. When vulnerable students graduate, they are better positioned to support younger siblings, uplift parents, contribute to the economy, and become role models. Keeping students in lecture halls today helps build stronger communities tomorrow.
