By Andrew Mullens | Kimbilio Support
Hi, Thank you so much for your financial support for the Kimbilio Project to fund sewing training for the mothers of ex-street kids. It is so important to provide these mums with skills that they can use to earn an income and thus be able to support their families. Your help means that Kimbilio can fund these training courses and provide equipment for the new graduates at the ned of their course.
This year, the sewing project ran between June and September and trained four ladies, whose children or brothers and sisters had once lived on the streets on Lubumbashi, and who have been successfully reintegrated into their families. These ladies learnt the technical skills involved in sewing and, at the end of the project, they were given their own sewing equipment so they could set up their businesses.
