Soil Cookstove: Very popular in East Africa

By William Logai Ochieng | Executive Director

Production of Soil cookstove to make a living!
Production of Soil cookstove to make a living!

The South Sudanese civil conflict is worsening exceeding control. Each day several hundreds of refugees from Magwi County (South Sudan) crossed into Lamwo district (Uganda).

As result, the economy collapsed, insecurity and famine are widespread. There are no law and order. It is total anarchy.

This needy was made for South Sudan and HopeOfiriha operated it in Omilling. With a country at a war by itself, the cause was transferred to Uganda, to benefits fleeing refugees in the outskirt of Kampala, Uganda.

After graduation, the clients are given loan capital to start a business of making and selling the soil Cookstoves as income generation so that they can provide for their families and pay school fees to educate their children.

War is a thief. It steals children’s hopes, dreams, and even their future. It makes them feel worthless and powerless to change their circumstances. But you can change this. That’s why HopeOfiriha exists: to empower you to release children from illiteracy. Our Child Sponsorship Program is proven to help refugee children overcome extreme illiteracy.

By sponsoring a refugee child, you will join more 3000 donors who believe children should be released from poverty in Education. Start your sponsorship story today.

At this reporting
HopeOfiriha plans to train two clients, grant them microcredit to start their income generating activity.  From the profit, they repay the loan in monthly installments.

In the coming months, a new field update report will be posted so you know the impact of your contribution is creating from the ground.
