Thanks for your continued generous donation to Clay Stove project.
Hope Ofiriha wishes you a Happy Christmas and prosperous new Year, and hope to work with you in 2016!
By a time of this reporting:
Hope Ofiriha had granted loans to four clients with funding from one of our microfinance finance lead partner. With current repayments from a field and your new donations were recycled to new loans and distributed to six new entrepreneurs.
The aim of credit is to improve the production and selling of clay cooking stove, a popular cooking device in East Africa. The demand of cook stove is constant, meaning the loanees can make a huge profit and repay their loan timely. These are former refugees from South Sudan, stranded in the outskirt of Kampala city. Their activity helped them provide th essential necessities and pay school fees - off course with help!
The cost of living is rising in Uganda because it currency is losing value against a dollar due to a global recession. However, still refugee women are determined to put food on a table for their families and keep their young ones at school.
Hope Ofiriha will be sending you a new field update after three months so that you get to know the impact of your contribution.
