Women are being encouraged to use clay stoves for cooking!
Thanks for your recent generous gift to Stop Cook stoves from Killing in South Sudan project. Your commitment to save women from toxic oxygen and fire burn is genuinely appreciated by our trustees and those who will benefit most.
This initiative is encouraging women, and girls to use clay stove for cooking to improve their health, and reduces the danger to contract lung disease. The local clinic reported no mother or a girl requesting treatment for fire burn during cooking as most are using clay stoves. Two new trainees have been identified to go for training in Uganda.
Agnes Idiongno has completed her skills training on July 22, and returned to Omilling to share the skills with fellow girls. She promised to train 20 girls to spread the knowledge in the community. I will also produce the clay stove for income generation Agnes said.
The beneficiaries are intensely eager to see this project progressing, and need your help, so many are trained in the skill.
