Thanks for your generous gift to Stop Cookstoves Killing in South Sudan.
Your commitments to help the needy to get out of poverty are appreciated by our Team and those who will benefit most – the children!
Current donations are totaling $ 3785 and we only need $ 1715 to reach the goal. The beneficiaries are eager to see this project progressing.
Although the women’s groups were still making clay stove, they were having problems selling, and adapting them for cooking. The manager in charge of marketing organized a couple of cooking demonstration locally. These were successful, and it was decided that more of these demonstrations should be held to spread the word sell the clay stove.
The 50 leaders from women’s groups were trained as “trainers” at trainees at Kajjansji, Uganda. After training, they returned and trained members of their groups in South Sudan. From (2009-to-2010), 120 claystoves were distributed to beneficiaries to replace the 3 stones-cooking methods as a campaign to promote the clay cook stove locally.
Until this project is fully funded we will be sending you quarterly field reports. You will get to know what your donation has helped impact and what we have achieved.
