Expansion and Strengthening

By Peraj Mexico | Peraj Mexico

With great enthusiasm, Peraj México is launching the 2026–2027 school year with a stronger national network of 28 higher education institutions and 49 campuses across different regions of Mexico. This new school year brings an opportunity to continue growing, bring more stakeholders together around our mission, and benefit more children through mentoring relationships that reduce the risk of school dropout, making a meaningful difference in their lives.

The growth of our network is made possible by the commitment of universities, students, communities, and, most importantly, the individuals and organizations who believe in the power of education and meaningful relationships to create new opportunities for children.

This year, we welcomed the National School of Higher Studies, León Unit (ENES León) of UNAM to the Peraj network. We also celebrate the return of four higher education institutions that are once again joining us:

  • National School of Higher Studies, Morelia Unit (ENES Morelia, UNAM)
  • School of Higher Studies Aragón (FES Aragón, UNAM)
  • Autonomous University of the West, El Fuerte Regional Unit (UAdeO, El Fuerte)
  • Higher Technological Institute of San Andrés Tuxtla

Each new campus represents more than a number. It means more university students prepared to become mentors, more communities connected to the program, and more children who can have a mentor figure who listens to them, supports them, encourages them to remain in school, and believes in their potential.

Through this growing network, Peraj creates meaningful community service experiences that benefit both mentors and children. While children strengthen their socioemotional and academic skills and develop greater confidence in their future, university students build empathy, leadership, communication, and a deeper sense of social responsibility.

We celebrate our continued growth, while recognizing that there is still much more to do. Behind every child we accompany there is a unique story, a family, and a future that can be transformed when the right support is available.

That is why we invite our donors, partners, and everyone who believes in creating greater educational opportunities to join us in this new school year. Your support helps us strengthen our network, reach more communities, and make it possible for more children to expand their horizons through mentorship.

Together, we can help mentoring reach even farther.
