We are called not only to empower and equip adults with tools for the future; children and adolescents are the present and future of society.
Young people have a natural inclination to help that their parents hopefully nurtured from a young age. When speaking with any young prospects, focus on how they can get involved and make a difference. When they see that their participation will have a positive impact and actually do something, they will want to join.
That has been the motivation for the CDC Community Development Center to invest time in the new generations; children with dynamic and creative workshops are learning to be supportive and to work as a team.
The teenagers have received several talks on various topics such as:
Effective Communication with Parents
The self-esteem
Training Others
Community work
Preventive Talk with the Firemen
As adults have had a process of learning and empowerment to replicate the model, our main goal is for teenagers become agents to help more young people who are involved in addictions and do not invest their time wisely.
We are about to finish the project, but we are very happy for this great opportunity and experience lived, thank you to each person who has placed their bit and trust in us.
The new generations are making a difference today, tomorrow and always.
