Project Overview
The Green Fund Initiative (GFI) recognizes that environmental issues transcend borders, necessitating a collaborative approach to create a sustainable and equitable world. In partnership with community-based organizations worldwide, GFI is committed to fostering international cooperation and supporting sustainable projects that emphasize the universal responsibility for environmental stewardship.
Key Project: Free Seedlings for Schoolchildren in Bangladesh
Objective:
One of GFI's flagship projects focuses on promoting environmental awareness among the younger generation by distributing free seedlings to schoolchildren in rural Bangladesh. The project aims to instill a love for nature in students and raise their awareness of the importance of environmental conservation.
Implementation:
In collaboration with the Bangladesh Biodiversity Conservation and Social Services Center (BCSSC), GFI has successfully distributed approximately 10,000 seedlings to students across rural Bangladesh. The seedlings, consisting of a variety of native tree species, were chosen for their ecological benefits and ability to thrive in the local environment.
