The Free IT Class project was established to provide children and young people from underserved communities with access to free Information Technology education and practical computer skills.

In today's digital world, basic IT knowledge has become an essential part of education and future employment. However, many children from low-income families and rural communities have limited access to computers, IT facilities, and quality digital education.

Through this project, we aim to reduce this digital gap by providing free IT classes and practical computer training to children who may otherwise have limited opportunities to access such resources.

2. Current Project Locations

The project is currently being conducted through two IT laboratories:

• Kalutara IT Lab

• Angunakolapalassa IT Lab

Both IT laboratories are currently active, and students are continuing to attend classes and develop their IT knowledge and practical computer skills.

3. Current IT Classes

The current batch of students at both locations is actively participating in the Free IT Classes.

At the Kalutara IT Lab, the current batch is being supported by Mr. Prasad, whose contribution helps us continue providing free IT education and practical computer training to the students.

At the Angunakolapalassa IT Lab, the current classes are supported by Mr. Ransika, enabling students in the area to continue receiving free access to IT education.

4. Key Learning Areas

The IT classes provide students with practical knowledge and skills in areas such as:

• Basic computer literacy

• Computer operations and file management

• Typing and document preparation

• Microsoft Office and common software applications

• Internet and online learning skills

We sincerely appreciate the support provided by Mr. Prasad for the current batch at the Kalutara IT Lab and Mr. Ransika for the current classes at the Angunakolapalassa IT Lab.
