Challenges continue to exist in this time of pandemic. The Science Wing as a structure being built inside an academic institution for the purpose of providing a facility suited for a scholarly education has been greatly affected by stay at home orders of the government due to Covid 19.
In the absence of face to face classes, the ultimate challenge of this project falls on finance. The tuition of able students who continue to study inspite of this hurdle is not enough to sustain the daily operational expenses of the school, therefore, not being able to segregate some for its continuance. Other factors greatly affecting this cause is the slowdown in the supply chain of materials and the lack of labor not being able to sustain salaries and wages at the same time not being allowed to employ so many as mandated.
Whatever manpower that is retained now is to protect the site from damage and spoilage from the elements and from theft considering an increased crime rate due to poverty. We still continue to seek the assistance of GlobalGiving donors to be able to purchase materials for science laboratory equipment and furniture for the meantime that the construction is on hold.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
