As reported in May 2020, the situation in the Philippines has remained status quo in terms of government policies related to COVID 19. The Philippines, including Dumaguete City, where the project is located at has been declared under a state of calamity until the end of the year.
Construction of the Foundation Preparatory Academy Science Wing continues to be suspended. Aside from the fact that the COVID guidelines include regulations that prevent the work from going on, several factors now are affecting it. Sadly, construction workers have been displaced due to lack of funds for salaries and wages while procurement of building materials has and is now an issue due to shipments with limited transportation.
While all are going through the hurdles caused by this pandemic, FPA is still hoping that construction continues in time for the next academic year. Meantime, workers have been instructed to keep safe and take good care of their health.
